Controller Structure

The new ATC system is being worked out but I will list a few items currently in the works.

ALL CURRENT ATC AND THOSE WANTING POSITIONS FOR AN ATC POSITION,
MUST READ THE SERVER RULES AND APPLY FOR AND BE ACCEPTED TO THE CF CONTROLLERS GROUP, PRIOR TO GETTING INTO TOWER!

Controller Cordination.
Chicago Flights™ controllers will be utilizing Flight Strips (by FSOpen) and Teamspeak 3 to coordinate aircraft and flight plans.
Policy
It will be policy for contollers to provide a professional and realistic atmosphere. However they will also provide aircraft with guidence and assistance to ensure that the session remains enjoyable for everyone involved.
Uncontrolled Airspace.
Pilots are to use unicom frequency 122.80 when inside uncontrolled airspace. You MUST announce position/intentions at all times to ensure safety and organization between aircraft.
Controlled Airspace Limitations
- CLEARENCE
  Responsible for issuing IFR clearences.
- RAMP CONTROL
  ONLY USED DURING EVENTS DEPENDING ON TRAFFIC. Responsible for aircraft ramp movement, issuing push and start clearences, clearing arriving aircraft into the gate.
- GROUND
  Responsible for above and routing aircraft on taxiways.
- TOWER
  Responsible for above, routing aircraft on active runways/taxiways, issuing takeoff/landing clearences, traffic within local airspace as depicted on chart. DEPENDING ON TRAFFIC TOWER WILL CONTROL ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES OUTSIDE LOCAL AIRSPACE IF NO APP/DEP CONTROLLER IS ONLINE.
- APPROACH/DEPARTURE
  Responsible for class B/C airspace as depicted on chart plus an additional distance depending on traffic. NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCAL AIRSPACE SURROUNDING AIRPORTS, ARRIVALS WILL BE SWITCHED TO UNICOM ON FINAL AND DEPARTURES WILL BE EXPECTED TO CONTACT CONTROLLER ONCE OUTSIDE LOCAL AIRSPACE IF NO TOWER CONTOLLER IS AVAILIBLE.
- CENTER
  Responsible for en route seperation and control. ONLY USED DURING EVENTS.
